Abstract

This study examines university students' perceptions of utilizing AI tools in higher education, focusing on their perceived value, ease of use, and potential to promote sustainable educational methods. A structured questionnaire was used to collect data from 312 undergraduate and graduate students at four universities, employing a quantitative approach. Descriptive and inferential statistical studies, such as multiple regression and ANOVA, have shown that most students believe AI technologies are useful for personalized, self-paced, and group learning. The results indicate a substantial relationship between students' positive views of AI tools and their support for environmentally friendly study practices, including lifelong learning, digital literacy, and awareness of resource utilization. There is a strong positive relationship between AI tools for learning and sustainable education. AI chatbots have been used in academics for self-learning. The article concludes with suggestions for policies that could help higher education utilize AI to achieve sustainability goals.
