Abstract

The goal of this research was to investigate the impact of product and process innovation in the Malaysian teaching sector through the lens of transformational leadership (TL) and authentic leadership (AL) qualities. The study also discusses how leadership TL and AL types change the extent of knowledge sharing (KS) in an organization. This study framework was examined in Malaysian teaching institutions. Through the use of PLS-SEM for data analysis, the results have concluded that TL and KS have a significant positive effect on sector innovations in Malaysia. Alternatively, authentic leadership did not support. Additionally, KS has been positively and significantly associated with transformational leadership, but has no moderating influence on authentic leadership. Specifically, the findings indicate that transformational leadership makes a significant contribution to both product and process innovation in Malaysian universities, whereas authentic leadership has no significant effect. Furthermore, knowledge sharing has a positive influence on innovation and moderates the relationship between transformational leadership and innovation.
